3 credits. Alternate years ( Fall) Examines the factors affecting minority participation in scientific careers and the experience of minorities in academic science, industry, and government. Comparisons are made between the experiences of women and minorities in other countries and the majority experience. Selected students have the opportunity to participate in a re s e a rch project sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
