4 credits. Special topic (offered irregularly) The interventions suggested by the biopsychosocial model and mind-body paradigm are examined. Topics include: health behavior, social learning theory, attribution theory, and attitude formation as they apply to problems like health promotion, disease prevention, reactions to illness, management of chronic and terminal illnesses, and adherence to treatment regimens. Methods of evaluation of clinical services are addressed. Prerequisite: PSY 1530
