Fall Using African novels and social science literature, both the insights of the artist and the analytic models of the social scientist are employed in the discussion of African politics and political systems. Topics include: the impact of Western colonialism and imperialism on traditional African societies; the evolution of new African cultures; the widening gulf between elites and masses; and the role of the African storyteller in articulating African issues.
