4 credits. Special topic (offered irregularly) After the death of Franco, Spain has evolved into a progressive democracy and has created a dynamic, exciting cultural life. Through the study of cultural materials (cinema, documentary theatre), literature, and political texts, students examine the development of culture in Spain from 1975 to the present. The relationship of politics to culture and the underlying historical contexts are the main themes. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPA 3015 or equivalent
