Special topic (offered irregularly) Examines the productive interaction between canonical works of literature (both prose and poetry) and the visual arts during the period commonly called the Romantic Age. Works by Blake, Wordsworth, Shelley, Scott, Byron, Constable, Gericault, Delacroix, and Turner, among others, are discussed. Topics include nature and landscape, social commentary and political critique, and mythic iconologies. Also offered as LIT 3323.
