Writing Intensive This course offers a study of British literature from the early Romantic period through the present day, including such writers as Blake, Wordsworth, Austen, Tennyson, Dickens, Yeats, Shaw, Woolf, Joyce, Eliot, Beckett, and Auden. The purpose of this course is to give students a brief overview of the major literary and historical movements in Britain and its colonies in the last two hundred years, while introducing students to a basic vocabulary of literary terms and critical theory.
