3 HOURS, 10 LAB HOURS PER SEMESTER; 3 CREDITS Th is is the second semester of Elementary Chinese in Mandarin. In CHI 102, the students will learn more Chinese sentence structure, more basic vocabulary and more Chinese grammar, which are useful in everyday conversation. Th ere will be a greater emphasis on oral exercises in class and more Chinese writing aft er class. Ten lab hours required. Prerequisite: CHI 101 or equivalent.
