Occupational Therapy 4 Credits Normal and abnormal pediatric development is addressed. Etiology, signs, symptoms, management, and occupational therapy concerns of neurological, orthopedic, systemic, traumatic, learning, psychosocial, and developmental disorders are surveyed. Assessment and treatment media in pediatric settings are addressed. Students learn several assessments from different frames of reference. A focus is on the most commonly used clinical assessments, including the MAP, SIPT, play observation, and parent interviews. Treatment approaches cover medical, community, and school-based practice.
