Occupational Therapy 4 Credits Assessment media and approaches in a mental health or cognitive setting are addressed. Students learn several assessments from different frames of reference. In addition, treatment plan documentation is introduced. Safety and suicide precautions are highlighted. Group and individual treatments in mental health and cognitive settings are covered in detail. Using the practice framework as the foundation, students learn several treatment modalities, including assertiveness training, social skills, projective arts, relaxation, sensory integrative techniques, and cognitive approaches.
