Psychology 3 Credits This course surveys the physiology of the dreaming process in the context of stages of sleep and the neurobiological mechanisms involved that are required for dream states to occur. In addition, the psychology of Freud and Jung will be applied to an understanding of the dream process. More in depth consideration will be given to the Gestalt Psychologists for dream interpretation. Another aspect of this course will be an examination of the influence of culture and myth upon the dreaming process and the dreamer.
