Philosophy and methodology of teaching science. Emphasizes the nature of science as a human endeavor, the national goal of scientific literacy for all, and the pedagogical strategies which enhance science concept acquisition. Lesson planning within the context of field experiences where appropriate. Prerequisite: junior standing; at least 24 hours of science content courses. Open only to teaching majors in life science, physical science, or earth-space science.
