This course introduces beginning students to the visual, material and conceptual concerns inherent to three dimensional design and sculpture. Using a variety of materials including foam-core, wire, plaster and clay, students will develop a greater familiarity with the creation of form and composition in three dimensions and how to begin to relate these processes to the creation of sculpture. (Lab fee) Offered fall term.
