Field experience in a learning situation for students who have demonstrated the ability to work independently and present themselves in a professional manner. Students may work with museums, research institutes, community groups, governmental organizations, nonprofit foundations, or other appropriate entities. Placement is arranged by a student in consultation with an American Studies advisor. Prerequisites: junior or senior standing, cumulative 3.0 grade point average, and permission of instructor.
