The practice, technology and economics of the treatment of air pollutants and solid wastes, generated by private, municipal, commercial and industrial sources are studied. Discussions include generation, effects, treatment, transformation, process alternatives, beneficial use and disposal of by-product and waste effluents. Emissions ranging from noxious gasses to hazardous materials will be included. The lecture materials are augmented by laboratory experiments. Prerequisites & Corequisites: Prerequisite: CHEG 2610 Notes: A student may not get credit for PAPR 4520 and PAPR 4521. Credits: 4 hours Lab Hours: ( 3 to 3)
