This course provides the opportunity to learn and practice procedures that will be necessary for giving nursing care to clients of all ages. Emphasis is on the development of psychomotor skills needed to give personal care and foster hygiene, to administer medications, to maintain safety, to meet mobility needs, to meet energy needs, and to meet elimination needs. Students will learn procedures in the college laboratory and will have opportunities to practice them in select clinical areas. 1 hour lecture, 6 hours lab Prerequisites: BIO 1040, CHM 1060, PSY 1010, SOC 1010. Prerequisite/Co-requisite: BIO 2020.
