This is a one-week course where students further their practical knowledge by giving patient medications as ordered and become more responsible for patient care while working alongside a nurse. Observation, monitoring and patient-assessment skills are more fully utilized in this rotation. Prerequisites: completion of all required coursework, a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher and a grade point average of 2.0 or higher in all Veterinary Technology coursework.
