3 credits No pre/corequisites. May be used as an elective. Open to all students. This course encourages critical reflection, exploration, and discussion. Students are challenged to discover and implement insights gained through an examination of the multiplicity of issues surrounding chemical dependency, as well as its related problems with regard to addicted individuals and those otherwise affected by addiction. Application to nursing practice will occur throughout the course.
