3 credits No pre/corequisites. May be used as an elective. Open to all students. This course focuses on the self-development and self-care practice of professional nurses. The philosophical and theoretical basis of holism is emphasized as a context for healing modalities, such as imagery, therapeutic touch, meditation, music, art, and journaling. Students work in small groups to build skills in selected modalities to expand awareness and integrate self-care into their nursing practice.
