2 C3 credits Prerequisite: A total of 20 completed credits in biology, including BIO 111, 112, and acceptance by a professor. A total of 4 credits may be applied to the major in biology from BIO 491, 492, 497, 498, and 499. Prerequisite: 20 completed credits in biology. Students will perform laboratory or field research in biology under supervision of the accepting faculty member. A verbal presentation of the research results to the department is required at the end of the semester. A written report may be required at the professor’s option, especially if taken for 3 credits.
