Prerequisites: NURS 200 and 230. Corequisites: NURS 240 and 260. Continues to build on curricular concepts, core threads, and principles. Content focuses upon nursing assessments and interventions to assist adult clients to adapt to alterations in neurological, sensory, integumentary and endocrine health problems. The nursing process is used to provide comprehensive care to the adult client with complex, multiple health problems. Nutritional concerns, as they relate to these alterations and stressors, are included. Acute care agencies are utilized for clinical experience. 5 lecture hours, 9 clinical laboratory hours (8-week course).
