Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENGL 009, or recentered SAT Verbal score of (R)380 or greater, or appropriate placement test scores. This course is designed to help students who have completed ENGL 009 but who are not yet ready for ENGL 101 English Composition I. ENGL 011 is a review of writing and editing skills to prepare students for college writing and writing in the workplace. Students should have basic understanding of simple sentence structure; more advanced structure will be covered in class. Students will write paragraphs and short essays. Students will regularly complete assignments that relate reading and writing. 3 class hours.
