This course is designed to provide the prospective middle school/junior high school math teacher with conceptual understandings for the geometric concepts found in the middle-grades curriculum. This course will include the study of logic, polygons, solids, Euclid’s postulates, congruent figures, similarity, rigid motion and symmetry, vectors and transformation and other geometries; the use of manipulatives and technology will support the teaching and learning of these topics. Prereq: MATH 226 (grade of C or better). F
