This course is designed to develop conceptual understandings for topics in algebra and number theory found in the middle-grades math curriculum. This course will include the study of sequences, the bino- mial theorem, fundamental theorem of arithmetic, modular arithmetic, systems of linear equations, matrix arithmetic and algebra, and coding with matrices; the use of manipulatives and technology will support the teaching and learning of these topics. Prereq: MATH 115 (grade of C or better) or MATH 118 (grade of C or better). S
