Description:
Three hours lecture. An introduction to the fundamentals of feedback control system design and analysis with emphasis given to frequency domain methods. Modeling, transfer functions, block diagrams, stability, and system specification will be reviewed. The Bode Ideal Cutoff design method will be thor- oughly examined and compared to other techniques including root locus and PID control. Includes computer simulations using MATLAB. Prereq: ENGR 345, ENGR 365 or ENGR 445, and MATH 433.
