This course introduces the principles and methods of epidemiology used to study health-related issues in populations. Covers models of disease causation and the association of healthrisk factors. Includes: common epidemiological measures, epidemiologic study designs, disease surveillance, and outbreak investigation. Applies epidemiological principles and methods to health service organizations and clinical settings by developing critical literature review and study design skills. Prereq: HP 302.
