This course focuses on health care marketing and strategic planning in health care. The increasing complexity of the health care system dictates a need for an organized approach to strategy, and one that ties key market issues and needs to a definitive market position, quantifiable objectives, and finally to strategies and actions aimed at achieving the position and objectives. This course allows the student to learn such an organized approach to marketing and strategy. A strategic analysis and plan, as a means to introduce the principles and concepts of strategy applicable to health care, will be conducted. Prereq: HP 211.
