ART 434 - Metal Arts II

6 hrs. per wk. Prerequisite: ART 334. Can be repeated for a maximum of 12 hours. An advanced studio experience that explores advanced techniques in jewelry making and metal fabrication. Enameling, acid etching, stone setting, and advanced waxing will be explored in this hands-on course. Approximately 6-10 projects will be executed after research and design development. Students repeating this course are expected to build on previous knowledge and expertise. For those students, the methods of working and the number and complexity of the jewelry and metal artworks produced are determined through consultation with the instructor (based on the student.s current skill level).
