Provides the background to become a knowledgeable, literate, and active participant in an increasingly technological society. Focuses on ethical considerations of modern biological issues. For the non-science major; not open to students who have passed BIOL 113 or BIOL 105. Fall, Spring, and Summer, $100 fee, 3 hours lecture and discussion, 2-hour laboratory, 4 credits.
