4 CREDIT HOURS Introduces students to the history and development of the media as it relates to the fashion industry. Newspapers, fashion magazines, wire services, radio, the broadcast media, and the Internet are examined and analyzed as to their influences on fashion makers. Students discuss trends and current problems in the media, with an emphasis on the role of the fashion advertiser and the public in affecting the content of the media. Magazine articles, film, and full-length works on the media supplement the text.
