This course continues to provide an introduction to the art and architecture of Western Culture by focusing on the art and architecture of the 17th through the 20th centuries. Topics include Baroque Art, Rococo, Neo-Classical, and Romantic periods as well as Impressionism, Expressionism and various artistic movements of the 20th century. Emphasis is placed on how art and architecture reinforce the social, religious, and cultural beliefs of the periods. No prerequisites. Fulfills the Core Curriculum fine arts requirement. Three credits.
