Prerequisite or corequisite for ETR 241 is ETR 250. Studies noise, information and band-width, modulation and demodulation, transmitters and receivers, wave propagation, antennas, and transmission lines. May include broad band communication systems, microwave, both terrestrial and satellite, fiber optics, multiplexing, and associated hardware. Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
