Introductory Chemistry 1 Pre: Communications & MAT101 or 091 w/'C' or better Co: A survey of basic principles of inorganic chemistry designed for students with little or no previous preparation in chemistry. Topics include: atomic and molecular structure, bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, solutions, acids and bases, pH, and nuclear chemistry. Laboratory work reinforces lecture concepts and deals primarily with introductory laboratory techniques. Fulfills open, liberal arts, and with CHE102 laboratory science sequence electives. (3 hours of lecture, 3 hours of lab per week)
