3 cr. 3 hr. This course is a continuation of ENGL 1100 with an emphasis on writing as a thinking and learning process. Careful reading, critical and creative thinking, and writing, using analysis and synthesis, is promoted with the assignment of five writing projects on a range of subjects. A research essay is required. Course options incorporate various styles and formats related to different situations and audiences.
