It introduces the student to the interrelationship of a broad set of topics ranging from number systems and operating systems to programming and hardware design to types of networks and Web site design. The importance of system security and information assurance is also stressed throughout. Some of the subject matter is reinforced by hands-on laboratory exercises and assignments.
