It covers topics essential to creating a foundation of knowledge before moving on to more advanced courses. Topics include an introduction to computer architecture, introduction to programming logic and program design using C++, IEEE floating point representation, integer representation, two's compliment, and object-oriented principles. Students must have an understanding of algebraic problem solving.
