The student will learn to see the organization as a whole; to step out of a functional mind-set. The student will understand how the various pieces of the business puzzle fit together, and will recognize why the different parts of a business need to be managed in strategic harmony for an organization to operate in a successful fashion. The student will learn and understand the concepts and theories of strategic management. The student will be given an opportunity to apply your knowledge in skill-building exercises, short cases, and longer, more complex cases. Computer simulations may be used to reinforce learning.
