Session Cycle: Spring Yearly Cycle: Every Other Through an examination of the family in sociological, historical and cross-cultural perspective, students will gain insight into both the diversity of family forms and the ways in which the family is tied into the larger structure of society. Study of the family as a social institution will be organized around a service learning practicum designed each semester in collaboration with a community partner. Service learning courses at Bryant require significant out of class community service done in partnership with community agencies.
