Session Cycle: Fall and Spring Yearly Cycle: Annual This course offers a study of the historical development of the financial structures underpinning the economic system of the United States. We analyze the creation and actions of the monetary system and capital markets. We examine the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Articles 3 and 9 with emphasis on the impact of technology on the evolution of new payment systems. The course will broaden the student's perspective on the vital role of the US financial services industry in the global economy.
