Students apply a structured program development process involving problem definition, interface design (GUI), algorithm design, coding, testing and debugging. Specific topics will change as the technology changes, but may include items such as: Database Programming, SQL and ActiveX Controls, windows Common Controls Library, MDI Programming, Class Modules, Collection Hierarchies, ActiveX Documents, Windows API, Designing for Distribution, software engineering methods, and quality control.
