Session Cycle: Fall, Spring and Summer Yearly Cycle: Annual This course is designed for all business majors and CIS minors who wish to improve their information literacy and gain skills in using micro-based application software to effectively make decisions and solve business problems in organizations. Students will discuss contemporary issues impacting technology, and will learn how to evaluate software and develop, manage and implement micro-based software applications. Students will be provided with hands on experience working with (1) the advanced features of Microsoft OFFICE Professional (2) integrating OFFICE applications to solve business problems, prepare reports and presentations and (3) linking applications to the World Wide Web. In addition to OFFICE, students will be exposed to several different types of application programs during the course. This is a required course for CIS majors and minors.
