McClellan Required of:None Electable by:MMJ Only Offered:Fall Description A practical experience in planning, executing, and evaluating effective rehearsals of jazz ensembles in a variety of genres. The course will focus on effective rehearsal techniques to prepare groups for stage or recording studio performances. Projects will be assigned and students will be encouraged to rehearse groups to complete projects and assignments. Emphasis will be placed on the development of leadership skills and effective management of students and professional level ensembles.
