Marvuglio Required of:None Electable by:MMJ students only Offered:Spring Description A study of the principles of temporal articulation and elaboration, including subdivision in various multiples, resultant rhythms, metric modulation, and odd meters. Students will develop the ability to hear and play increasingly advanced rhythmic ideas while remaining oriented in the prevailing rhythmic context or groove, and to utilize a more supple and flexible approach to rhythmic inflection through the controlled use of rubato.
