Students gain proficiency in problem solving through an appreciation of mathematics and its role in the arts, including finance. Interaction with computer technology is discussed to better communicate present mathematical practice and use of graphic displays. Topics covered are algebra, geometry, mathematical modeling, and statistics. Note: his course may not be used to fulfill the natural science requirement.
