The approach is chronological and comparative with readings from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Broad topic areas covered: cities and civilizations, religion and culture, sexuality and gender, self and society, ecology and conquest, and war and peace. Note: This course may be taken in lieu of LCOR-211 to fulfill the first-semester history requirement.
