This course entails a study of the function and organization of the federal and state court systems and the processes by which justice is administered in America. We will examine the training of lawyers, the selection of judges. This course will look at the questions of jurisdictional boundaries of the various courts, and we will consider the interrelation of the decisions of the judicial branch of government as they impact on policy concerns in the legislative and executive branches of our state and national governments.
