The first semester of an introductory study of physics (mechanics, heat, electricity, magnetism, waves, light and modern physics). Basic principles used in both semesters are introduced in the first semester. Some basic concepts of calculus may be introduced as needed. A laboratory is included. Prerequisites: MTH 141 concurrently (or previous) and either MTH 125 concurrently (or previous) or high school calculus. Offered Fall Semester.
