A continuation of MUS 121 with emphasis on diatonic harmony, figured bass practice, and part form structures. Also included is an introduction to scale and rhythm patterns of the music of African and Middle Eastern cultures. Prerequisite: MUS 121 with a minimum grade of C-, or permission of instructor. Co-requisite: must also register for MUS 122L. Credit: 4 semester hours. Note: A letter grade of at least C- must be attained in MUS 122 in order to count for graduation as a music major.
