This course is an introduction to the study of medically important bacteria and parasites. The biochemistry, genetics, and physiology of bacteria will be discussed as well as methods of cultivation, isolation, and identifi cation of these organisms. Life cycles of parasites and methods of identifi cation will be studied. PR: MLAB 1103 and HLCA 1105. Two hours lecture and four hours lab per week. Spring.
