A study of capital markets and sources, with particular emphasis on the development of skills and resources required to obtain the fi nancial capital for entrepreneurial ventures. Major topics include attracting seed and growth capital from sources such as individuals, venture capitalists and institutional fi nanciers. Case analyses present various ways that entrepreneurial companies have creatively identifi ed, negotiated and structured fi nancing. Students will prepare a fi nancial proposal for the funding of an entrepreneurial venture. PR: BUSN 2205.
