Students will study the scientifi c approach to collecting and analyzing physical evidence. The course will expose the student to the procedures of searching and processing crime scenes for fi ngerprints, body fl uids, glass, fi bers, tool marks, ballistics, footprints and tire impressions. The student will be instructed in the proper methods of preserving and shipping criminal evidence for analysis, the various laboratory techniques used in analyzing criminal evidence and how expert witness testimony is prepared and presented in court.
